Dear Friends, We are continuing our DHM services online and by phone. In line with the government's recommendations and in consultation with the DHM management committee and prayer warriors, we are suspending all in-person services and instead expanding other ways to always be of service to you. Now is a very particular time of grace for Christians, the Church and this ministry to respond in faith rather than fear, in creativity rather than shutting down, as a community of faith and hope as against individualism and in pressing in and listening to the voice of God as so many distractions are removed from our everyday lives. Among the ways we can respond personally and as a healing ministry over this time:
Pray in our homes with a very real sense of unity with the whole DHM family and with the wider Church.
Maximise the use of phone prayer ministry both with and to team members and to the wider DHM family. More people are likely to be contacting the DHM phone line for prayer than ever before.
Phone those we sense might feel vulnerable and to pray for and encourage each other.
Check out the DHM website regularly as it is being developed to provide better access and resources. We will be providing resources to allow people to pray at home by themselves or with family.
Engage with the DHM Facebook page.
Do prayer walks individually or with family members as appropriate and as led by the Holy Spirit and providing resources on this.
Look forward to prayer resources and CDs that we aim to safely distribute for those who don’t have internet or social media access.
Note that our prayer involves spiritual warfare and to be praying scriptures the Lord is giving for this time eg 2 Chronicles 6:28-31
On this St Patrick's day, we reflect on a person who sacrificially and boldly sought the kingdom across Ireland and we want to continue in that biblical mentality in this season. Together on this St Patrick’s Day, we pray a blessing over the vulnerable in our society, for wisdom in our government, and the voice and presence of God to be made so clear in the midst of everything that is happening. Extract from Saint Patrick’s Breastplate Christ with me, Christ before me, Christ behind me, Christ in me, Christ beneath me, Christ above me, Christ on my right, Christ on my left, Christ when I lie down, Christ when I sit down, Christ when I arise, Christ in the heart of everyone who thinks of me, Christ in the mouth of everyone who speaks of me, Christ in every eye that sees me, Christ in every ear that hears me. We cover each other in prayer. This is not a time to be fearful but for faith to arise in our God who has not been taken by surprise in these days. Jesus Christ is Lord. Fergus McMorrow
